Submission Guidelines
Thank you for your interest in contributing to the Global Health Unfiltered Blog. We welcome submissions from passionate individuals who are committed to sharing their insights and knowledge on global health issues. Although everyone is welcome to submit, we are particularly interested in hearing from global health practitioners and students from/based in low and middle-income countries. To ensure a seamless submission process, please review the following guidelines:
Content Focus:
We prioritize articles that address diverse global health topics, including but not limited to public health, decolonizing global health, healthcare systems, disease prevention, mental health, environmental health, health financing, governance, and social determinants of health.
Submissions should offer unique perspectives, evidence-based analysis, personal experiences, or thought-provoking ideas that contribute to the global health discourse.
Originality:
We only accept original content that has not been published elsewhere, including personal blogs or other platforms. Plagiarism or duplicate submissions will not be considered.
Authors should provide proper citations and references for any data, statistics, or external sources used in their articles.
Writing Style:
Aim for clear, concise, and engaging writing that appeals to a wide audience. Avoid excessive jargon and ensure that complex ideas are explained effectively.
Articles should be well-structured with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion.
Word count: We recommend submissions to be between 500 and 800 words.
Formatting and Submission:
Please submit your article in a Word document or a compatible file format.
Include a brief author bio (2-3 sentences) along with your submission, highlighting your relevant expertise or experience in global health.
Feel free to include images or charts that enhance the article's visual appeal or provide additional context. Ensure that you have the rights or proper permissions for any visuals used.
Citations and References:
If you refer to external sources, provide accurate citations within the article. Include a reference list at the end, following a consistent citation style (e.g., APA, MLA).
Hyperlink any relevant online references or resources mentioned in the article.
Editorial Process:
All submissions will be reviewed by our editorial team for relevance, clarity, and adherence to guidelines.
We reserve the right to edit, modify, or suggest changes to the submitted content for clarity or alignment with our editorial standards.
We may not be able to respond to all submissions. If your article is selected for publication, we will notify you within a reasonable timeframe.
